The form of this hand-blown glass vase is inspired by Native American pottery. The pattern finds inspiration in snow and ice. white, gray and black glass frits and powder are laid out beforehand and arranged in a manner to be consistent.  The periwinkle color pattern is inspired by the lively pops of colors in my Spring Garden and the soothing hues of the evening sky at Sunset. This piece has a white and clear interior, which brightens the exterior colors and allows reflected light to give the piece a subtle illumination. The vase has a blue accented lip and is sandblasted to give a matte finish that accentuates the sophisticated color pattern.
