Convergence Vase • Red with Yellow interior

This hand-blown glass vase, from my Convergence series, is hybrid of my Cascade and Strata series results in a one-of-a-kind vase that captures the essence of nature's beauty and an innovative vision. The intricate pattern comes to life using glass chips and powder, meticulously arranged to ensure consistency. The red color pattern is inspired by raw energy of Lava, the bounty of Fruits and Vegetables as well as the crimson hues of Autumn. The thoughtful composition mirrors the natural beauty that surrounds us, adding a dynamic element, a horizontal band of glass chips is skillfully applied through a hot wrap technique. This band serves as a visual anchor, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the piece. The interior of the vase is transparent, creating a sophisticated contrast between the exterior and interior, after cooling, the vase is engraved using a diamond wheel, carving through the exterior to reveal the interior color and sandblasted to create the matte finish. This convergence vase is inspired by the beauty of our diverse world and the magic that can happen when different worlds mix together.
